The weekend before Christmas

Aren't Addi's house slippers cute?!! The weekend before Christmas we went to Red River with Justin's parents to go skiing. On our way to Amarillo, we stopped to see some of my family.

This is Carsyn she is so cute and she looks so tiny.

We saw my Uncle Tommy and Aunt Mary and my cousins Lisa and Leslie and their kids. It was so nice to see them and spend a little time with them. I wish we saw them more often.

We made it to Angel Fire and Addi did pretty good on the drive. It is a really long ride and I feel bad when Addi has to sit so long in her seat but she did great. I think Addi looks like Randy for A Christmas Story. We went sledding the first night we got there and it was so fun. Addi loved it.

We had fun skiing the snow was not very good (Justin said) so Justin could not do all the runs he wanted to do. I did better this time. I fell A LOT but I did a lot better than the first time. Then we headed back to Amarillo to do Christmas with Justin's family.

We had a good time but I was ready to be home. We were tired!!!

What a difference a year makes!

Done and Done

First...Addi likes to have a purse and some keys. Yesterday she wanted to take a nap with her purse and Janie let her. When Janie went to get her up she had colored all over her bed. I guess she snuck some crayons into her purse when we weren't looking.

Today was Justin's last day of school!!!! He is DONE and I am so glad I can't imagine how excited he is. Also I am DONE with my Christmas shopping YEA I went and got the last thing today on my lunch break!

Addi loves lip gloss. This morning we were getting ready for church and I thought she was in her room and she was actually hiding in my closet with a tube of lip gloss.

This is what my tree looked like earlier in the week. I bought the polymesh to use but did not like the way it turned out. I had the whole tree decorated all of it. I decided to take it down and redo it.

This is what it looks like now. I like how it turned out. I also like using picks for the top instead of ribbon or star or whatever else. I am done with my Christmas decorations. I am not going to Hobby Lobby until after Christmas! maybe

Thanksgiving 2010

This year we went to Amarillo for Thanksgiving. We did not get to leave until Thanksgiving morning because J did not get off until 7 Thursday morning. Addi started running a fever on Thursday night and had one all weekend long. I am not sure what was wrong with her J was going to take her to the doctor on Monday but she woke up and did not have fever. It did not stop her from running around and playing. Addi with Grammy and PaPaw I think they are fond of one another!

Today Addi and I had a busy day we got up and cleaned and then had a ton of errands we had to do. I ordered her Birthday outfit and it is going to be so cute. TWO YEARS OLD...how can that be???

It was above 70 here today Beautiful! So we made some time to head to the park. Then we went to see Grandma. She has been really busy with work so we went to say hello.

And....yesterday I got a new car!!! I am so excited about it. It seems so big compared to the little car I have I love it!!

Here is the reason I did not get all of the stuff on my list done this weekend. It was beautiful outside and we could think of better things to do than stay inside. I am so thankful for these two. I love them more than anything and they are my whole world.

Friday all three of us went Christmas shopping and we got everyone done except Addi and eachother. Our whole families!! For those of you who have not had the pleasure of shopping with Justin let me tell you what it is like.

-you MUST know what you are getting each person you can not have an idea or just look to see if you see something pops out at you.

-you have a mapped out plan of which is the fastest way which store you will go into first etc. For instance J will drop me off at one store while he goes to another. I think Justin likes to write all the stores down because he does not want me try to add another stop

-You can not look at anything or in any store that is not planned. Nope no looking you are on a mission

-When you are finished you must eat at the place of his choice and they must serve beer

the plus to this is we got alot done and it didn't take all day..

Really I perfer shopping ALONE!!

I have been working on getting all my Christmas out I still have a way to go but I have been making wreaths and some garland with this mesh and it has been really fun. I would love to be able to do this all day long. This is what Justin calls knick-knack bulls@#t!!
